Melody Paths exercise: Chords 4, 5D, 1, 1

Melody Paths is one of the most beautiful exercises in the IFR method. It shows you how the seven notes of the major scale flow through any chord progression.

Instead of memorizing “licks” and patterns, you discover the natural melodic connections between the chords. This “bird’s eye” view of the tonal landscape makes it effortless to improvise beautiful, lyrical melodies.
